HEALTHY EATING

We all want the best for our children. In our busy world, it is easy to overlook how important it is for them (and us) to eat healthily. A few simple choices when you do your shopping can make all the difference.

MoreHappy Chappy
Fresh fruit and vegetables (5 a day)
Fruit juice
Water
Fresh fish

Less
Fizzy drinksSo Sad
Sweets and chocolate (let's be honest, we are going to have some chocolate!)
Crisps
Convenience food which is often high in salt, sugar and saturated fat

For official information on eating well, please take a look at the following websites:

Food Standards Agency (click here)

Directgov (click here)

Don't forget to allow your children time to have lots of fresh air, exercise and unstructured play.
